Diagnostic Services

Understanding what's happening with your heart.

The first step in any care plan is a clear picture. Dr. Mundluru offers a complete range of non-invasive cardiac tests, most performed in-office.

Echocardiogram

An ultrasound of the heart that shows how well it's pumping, the condition of valves, and overall structure. Painless and takes about 30 minutes.

Stress Testing

Measures how your heart responds to exertion — either by walking on a treadmill or through medication if walking isn't possible. Helps identify blocked arteries.

Electrocardiogram (EKG)

A quick, non-invasive test that records the heart's electrical activity. Often the first test we run, and one of the most useful.

Holter & Event Monitors

Portable devices you wear for one to thirty days that continuously monitor your heart rhythm — essential for catching intermittent arrhythmias.

Nuclear Cardiology

Advanced imaging that uses a small, safe tracer to show blood flow to the heart muscle. Used when more detail is needed than a standard stress test.

Cardiac PET Scan

A highly detailed imaging study that uses positron emission tomography to assess blood flow to the heart. Often used when other tests are inconclusive, with sharper images and lower radiation than standard nuclear tests.

Interventional Procedures

When more than medication is needed.

Dr. Mundluru is a board-certified interventional cardiologist, which means he performs catheter-based procedures to treat heart disease — minimally invasive, with most patients home the same day or after one night.

Cardiac Catheterization

A thin tube is guided through a blood vessel to the heart to take direct measurements and detailed images of the coronary arteries. The gold standard for diagnosing heart disease.

Coronary Angioplasty & Stenting

Blocked or narrowed coronary arteries are opened with a small balloon and held open with a stent — restoring blood flow to the heart muscle.

TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)

A minimally invasive procedure to replace a narrowed aortic valve through a small catheter — an alternative to open-heart surgery for patients with severe aortic stenosis. Most patients return home within a day or two.

Lower-Extremity Vascular Intervention

Catheter-based treatment for blocked or narrowed arteries in the legs. Restores circulation, relieves pain when walking, and protects against more serious complications — using the same minimally invasive techniques as cardiac procedures.

Procedures are performed at Dr. Mundluru's affiliated hospitals, including Baylor Scott & White All Saints, Medical City Fort Worth, Texas Health Harris Methodist, and Texas Health Arlington Memorial.
