About
Board-certified interventional cardiologist. Caring for Fort Worth families since 1992.
Dr. Mundluru founded Tarrant County Cardiology over three decades ago with a simple commitment: every patient deserves a cardiologist who knows their name, returns their call, and takes the time to explain things clearly. He still does.
His Story
Dr. Mundluru completed his internal medicine residency in Chicago, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular disease and an additional fellowship in interventional cardiology in Lubbock, Texas. He was among the first physicians in America — and one of the first worldwide — to complete formal training in interventional cardiology, a subspecialty that was still emerging at the time he entered the field.
In 1992 he founded Tarrant County Cardiology with a clear philosophy: patients deserve a cardiologist who is present — not just for the procedures, but for the conversations that come before and after. Decades later, that's still how the practice runs. Dr. Mundluru personally meets with every patient, personally reviews every test result, and personally calls patients back to explain what those results mean.
He has served as Chief of Staff at Medical City Fort Worth and continues to teach cardiology fellows at the University of North Texas Health Science Center — but his focus has never strayed from the practice and the patients in front of him.

His Approach
When your test results come in, Dr. Mundluru reviews them personally and calls you to discuss — often after regular business hours. Not a nurse, not a portal message. The same physician who ordered the test explains what it means.
Visits are not rushed. Dr. Mundluru takes the time to understand your full health picture, your concerns, and your goals — so the plan you leave with is one you actually feel confident about.
From your first consultation through every follow-up and procedure, you see the same cardiologist. No rotating providers, no starting over with someone new. The relationship is part of the care.
Ready when you are
New patients and referrals are always welcome. Most major insurance plans accepted.
